The name ‘villain’ originated from our
love of superhero stories. The idea behind it was of the irony that
super hero’s cannot exist without villains. A villain in a movie is a
complex character, misunderstood and generally more powerful than the
hero. They will have endearing traits that sometimes draw the audience
to empathise with the character. In some cases villains are misunderstood
and they often attract negative attention
through headstrong techniques. They would like to achieve a goal for the
better, but will take any route to get there. In depth details of
villain characters reflects the detail of the clothing.
This is all affiliated with the skateboarding/street wear sub-culture,
which is a big part of the brand. We feel that what we can’t express
with art on a blank canvas or illustrator, we can do so through the
brand. Obviously, art plays a big part in the company and we are really
inspired by the U.K. street art scene, which we believe to be the best in
the world.
You are the clothes that you wear.
